I came on the recommendation of some friends and I loved the food, I haven't tasted real Peruvian food for a long time, we ordered ceviche mixto with papa a la huancaína and it was like being on the coast of Peru again, the chicha morada was just right and the service was very good, we will come back, of course!

I haven’t enjoyed real authentic Peruvian food for several years (Ft Lauderdale)I was told by my cousin (whose wife is Peruvian) there were some REAL Peruvian places in Albuquerque. He was right- Mayo and Alex are the real deal.Delicious and Fresh, Shrimp and Fish Ceviche!

I’m not too familiar with Peruvian food, but someone highly recommended Mati, a newish restaurant off San Pedro, across from the fair grounds.I ordered the Chicha Morada which is a purple corn drink made with pineapple, green apple, and cinnamon. I wish I was sipping on some right now!For my appetizer, I ordered the Papa a la Huancaina which comes with boiled yellow potatoes topped with an Aji Amarillo cream sauce. And then for my main dish I ordered the Lomo Saltado which comes with marinated strips of sirloin, red onions, and tomato, served with rice and french fries.Everything was absolutely delicious! I want to go back and eventually make my way through the entire menu. The customer service was great. My server walked me through the menu since I wasn’t familiar with any of the dishes. He was a great help and I’m thankfully for his recommendations!

Very good Peruvian food, authentic taste, good quality ingredients, fast and friendly service. I highly recommend. We ordered ceviche, the lomo saltado, and the seco de carne. All were prepared perfectly.

Super good food! Yucca fries were crispy and cooked perfectly. The beef was recommended as a house specialty and I’m glad I got it. Really tender, veggies had a nice crisp to them and the sauce was great. Will be back!

So cool to have Peruvian food here and wow! It was such a treat, delicious and authentic experience. When we walked it it felt like I entered a cozy home. The owners were so warm, welcoming and extremely passionate! They spent time chatting with us and said they get a lot of their ingredients straight from Peru. We will be back! Try the ceviche!!! It was delicious

First time trying Peruvian food and it was delicious !! I got the Lomo Saltado and the Peruvian Passionfruit to drink (soo refreshing). Food was wonderful and the service was excellent. The gentleman, Trotsky, who took care of me was very hospitable and even took the time to discuss Peruvian history with me. The entire experience felt authentic and presented with care, I look forward to coming back :)

I’m Peruvian. I’ve had so much Peruvian food in my life so coming in here I had high standards. This place delivered on every aspect. We ordered the ceviche, seco de carne, and lomo saltado. The ceviche was amazing. They use red snapper, a very high quality fish that some places skimp on. As for the seco, it was also very high quality beef. As my favorite Peruvian dish, their seco did not disappoint. The owner served us. He gave us some of the best service I’ve ever received, truly made it feel like we were dining in his home. Also, coming from LA I couldn’t believe the prices. For the same price in LA for these high quality meals you couldn’t even get a sandwich. Super happy with this place and it’s definitely the best Peruvian food in the area. If you are ever considering eating here, I highly recommend it. And if you’ve never had Peruvian food, this place is a great place to try it for the first time!
